Every rug Illulian offers is a unique creation. All are made by hand; nothing that Illulian produces is mass produced or standard. All the rugs are hand-knotted in the traditional way, using carefully selected hand spun wool and vegetable dyes. One of Illulian’s precious materials is Himalayan wool, which can only be produced near the Himalaya Mountain area, all spun by hand, the Himalayan wool in rugs looks better than machine spun wool, more importantly, it is richer in character and more “three dimensional”.

Illulian, a historic brand known internationally for antiques and luxury items for the home, boasts more than 50 years in business. Founded in 1960 by Massoud Illulian, the company is now run by Shahnaz Illulian and her sons Davis and Bendis Ronchetti Illulian, who have managed over the years to keep the company on a path of continuous growth and evolution.
To satisfy the clients’ requests and needs for personalization, Illulian also creates custom-made carpets. Clients can choose the design, color, size, shape and material, and pieces will be made according to these specifications by the Illulian Design Studio, resulting in exclusive one-off pieces.
